The beach
Swimming, sunbathing, paddling and boating are all part of the village's summer identity.
Door County, Wisconsin
The county's table and its biggest autumn weekend.
A waterfront village with the county's densest cluster of kitchens and bars, a wide beach, and the northern parks on its doorstep. In October, the whole peninsula seems to arrive for Fall Fest.
Sister Bay has gained a reputation as Door County's food, dining and beverage hub. The range is unusually broad for a village this size: supper clubs, pubs and taverns, waterfront dining, bakeries, pizza and craft beer, all within a short walk of the water.
It is also the most convenient base for the northern tip. Ellison Bluff and Newport State Park are close, and the road to the Washington Island ferry continues north from the village.
Swimming, sunbathing, paddling and boating are all part of the village's summer identity.
The village's largest event: a parade, local food and drink, an arts and crafts show and family activities.
A concentration of kitchens and bars that makes the village a destination in its own right.
Fall Fest is the village's biggest weekend. Lodging fills months ahead.
